Public Health Ontario

The work of a publicly-funded healthcare system focuses on the health of individuals. The work of a public health system focuses on the health of populations (communities).Public health interventions protect people from infectious diseases and environmental threats to their health and help to better support and inform their choices about risks.

Canada Health Act Webpage has information of federal legislation for publicly funded health care insurance. It sets out the primary objective of Canadian health care policy to protect, promote and restore the well-being.
